Conceived In A Harrington Railway Station, It Quickly Grew Into The Acclaimed Kent And Sussex County Fair In 1920. Initially Encompassing A 30-Acre Plot For A Racetrack And Grandstand, The Fair Today Occupies Nearly 300 Acres, Attracting Over 307,000 Attendees Each Year. In Addition To Thrilling Carnivals And Popular Entertainers, The Fairgrounds Host Businesses Such As The Centre Ice Rink And The Harrington Raceway And Casino. Despite Its Evolution, The Fair Remains Anchored In Its Agricultural Roots, Annually Recommitting To Its Original Mission. The Delaware State Fair Is A True Embodiment Of The Motto "Bigger And Better Than Ever.
